A cozy, snowbound Regency romp where forced proximity slowly thaws an arrogant duke's heart.

What it feels like

Reading this traditional Regency romance feels like stepping into a warm, fire-lit inn while a blizzard rages outside. The narrative thrives on the cozy, enclosed tension of the stranded travelers trope, offering a delightful microcosm of Regency society trapped under one roof. It moves at a steady, character-driven pace, relying on crisp, witty dialogue and the delicious friction of opposites attracting. The prose is classically arch and lighthearted, capturing both the claustrophobic charm of the snowbound inn and the glittering, high-stakes social maneuvering of the subsequent London season. It is a perfect comfort read for those who love old-school, closed-door historical romances where practical, level-headed heroines effortlessly dismantle the defenses of haughty, aristocratic heroes.
