Bitter Harvest

329 pages

A sun-drenched, high-angst battle of wills where pride and passion collide in a luxurious Greek cage.

What it feels like

Reading this vintage romance feels like stepping into a sun-drenched, high-stakes emotional battleground. The atmosphere is thick with tension and the luxurious, suffocating heat of the Greek Mediterranean, perfectly mirroring the heroine's internal turmoil. It moves at a brisk clip, driven entirely by the fiery clash of pride, revenge, and stubbornness between two fiercely willful characters. The prose is unapologetically melodramatic, leaning into lush descriptions of opulent settings and the agonizing, breathless angst of falling in love with one's own captor. It is a deeply nostalgic, emotionally intense experience designed for readers who love the unapologetic alpha heroes, glamorous captivity, and sweeping, tear-stained surrender characteristic of classic 1970s category romance.

About the book

It was at her engagement party that Raine met the forceful Greek Darius Kallergis, who announced there and then that he wanted her and intended to have her - and as a result ruined her chances of a rich and titled husband. Furious, she determined to be revenged on him. And so here she was in Greece, living in a beautiful house in fabled Delphi, surrounded by every luxury and comfort, the wife of a rich and handsome man with whom, belatedly, she had fallen in love. Yet for all that Raine was desperately unhappy. And it was no consolation at all to know that it was all her own fault.
