College Weekend

160 pages

A nostalgic, twisty descent into campus paranoia where every friendly face hides a sinister motive.

What it feels like

Reading this retro teen thriller feels like stepping into a time capsule of landline suspense, where isolation is just a missed connection away. The narrative moves at a propulsive clip, driven by punchy dialogue and signature cliffhanger chapter endings that make it impossible not to turn the page. The atmosphere is steeped in a specific kind of adolescent paranoia—the disorienting vulnerability of stepping onto an unfamiliar college campus, only to realize the people you trust most are suddenly strangers. It is a delightfully melodramatic and eerie experience, balancing campy charm with genuine moments of claustrophobic dread. Perfect for readers who crave a quick, twisty mystery that trades heavy psychological realism for pure, unadulterated popcorn thrills.

About the book

Nothing can ruin Tina Rivers' big weekend at Patterson College with her boyfriend, Josh Martin. She's so excited, she doesn't even mind that her cousin, Holly, will be tagging along. But when Tina and Holly arrive, Josh is gone. His roommate, Christopher Roberts, says Josh is stuck in the mountains, delayed by car trouble. That's weird -- Josh never mentioned he was going away. It gets even weirder when Holly suddenly disappears. But Christopher isn't worried -- about Holly or Josh. Christopher seems to have the answer to everything. Tina is confused. But one thing is clear -- she's about to learn more about love and murder than she ever wanted to know.
