Dallas
The Umbrella Academy 2
First published 2008 · 216 pages
A frantic, blood-spattered joyride through time that proves you cannot outrun the apocalypse or your deeply dysfunctional siblings.
What it feels like
Reading this graphic novel feels like strapping into a roller coaster that is actively derailing, yet somehow staying perfectly on track. It is a propulsive, neon-drenched fever dream of time travel, sugar-addicted assassins, and historical tragedies, all anchored by the crushing weight of family trauma. The atmosphere is relentlessly chaotic and surreal, blending retro-futuristic pulp with a deeply cynical, darkly comedic edge. Beneath the hyper-violent set pieces and jagged, expressive artwork lies a melancholic exploration of sibling alienation and the inescapable burden of destiny. It delights readers who love their superhero deconstructions served with a heavy dose of weirdness, proving that saving the world is always secondary to surviving your own deeply messed-up family.

About the book
It this is anything like the show then I'll tell you about that. Five has teleportation and he teleports to the furute to see the world is going to be in an apocalypse and Vanya's boyfriend is the start of the apocalypse or that's what they think. I said if this was anything like the show because I haven't read the comic but I'm on the waiting list.
