King of Battle and Blood

480 pages

A sultry, high-stakes romantasy where fierce defiance melts into all-consuming, dangerous passion.

What it feels like

This is a dark, unapologetically steamy romantasy that reads at a propulsive, breathless pace. The atmosphere is thick with danger and sultry tension, plunging the reader into a brooding vampire court where every glance is a threat and every touch is electric. It thrives on the razor-thin line between visceral hatred and overwhelming desire, delivering a deeply sensory experience that prioritizes intense emotional clashes and passionate encounters over dense world-building. The narrative voice is dramatic and fierce, perfectly matching a heroine who refuses to yield and a morally grey king who will stop at nothing to claim her. It is an absolute feast for readers who devour high-spice, trope-heavy fantasy romances packed with fated connections, blood-soaked betrayal, and explosive chemistry.

About the book

Their union is his revenge.

Isolde de Lara considers her wedding day to be her death day. To end a years-long war, she is to marry vampire king Adrian Aleksandr Vasiliev, and kill him.

But her assassination attempt is thwarted, and Adrian threatens that if Isolde tries to kill him again, he will raise her as the undead. Faced with the possibility of becoming the thing she hates most, Isolde seeks other ways to defy him and survive the brutal vampire court.

Except it isn't the court she fears most—it's Adrian. Despite their undeniable chemistry, she wonders why the king—fierce, savage, merciless—chose her as consort.

The answer will shatter her world.
