Leopard in the Snow

280 pages

A quintessential vintage romance that traps you in a snowbound estate with a brooding, scarred hero and a dangerously tame leopard.

What it feels like

Reading this vintage romance feels like being snowed in at a remote, shadowy estate where the tension is as thick as the winter storm outside. The narrative moves at a brisk, breathless pace, driven by the claustrophobic thrill of forced proximity and the classic Beauty and the Beast dynamic. The prose is unapologetically dramatic and emotionally charged, perfectly capturing the angst of a heroine caught between fear and an undeniable, forbidden attraction. It is a deeply atmospheric experience, steeped in 1970s romantic melodrama, where brooding silences and sudden, intense outbursts chart the course of healing past grief. This is a perfect escape for readers who love old-school, high-stakes emotional battles, captive-to-lover tropes, and heroes who are as wild and unpredictable as the beasts they keep.

About the book

Helen simply couldn't believe her eyes when, stranded in the snow in the wilds of Cumberland, she found herself confronted by a leopard. But luckily it was a tame one, and its owner, the mysterious Dominic Lyall, was able to offer Helen shelter in his house.

Soon, however, the situation turned into a nightmare as she realised that he intended to keep her there, virtually a prisoner - and no one had any idea where to start searching for her! How could she get away? And, as time went by, did she want to get away?

Yet she was only too well aware that if Dominic did decide to let her go, it would only be because he wanted to get rid of her for good...
