Red Sister

635 pages

A bloody, poetic exploration of loyalty and lethal sisterhood set beneath the fading light of a dying sun.

What it feels like

Reading this book feels like sharpening a blade in the dark. It is a gritty, atmospheric coming-of-age story that balances visceral, bone-crunching violence with surprisingly tender explorations of found family and fierce loyalty. The prose is sharp and highly quotable, delivering philosophical gut-punches between breathless training montages and lethal combat sequences. Set against the claustrophobic, shadow-drenched backdrop of an assassin convent on a dying world, the narrative maintains a brisk, compelling momentum as it traces a feral child's evolution into a deadly weapon. It will absolutely devour readers who crave dark academic settings, morally complex heroines, and stories where female friendships are forged in blood, tested by betrayal, and defended with unapologetic force.
