Sleeping Desire

285 pages

A high-stakes emotional tug-of-war where forgotten betrayals collide with undeniable, lingering passion.

What it feels like

Reading this vintage romance feels like stepping into a pressure cooker of unresolved tension and simmering resentment. The narrative moves at a brisk, urgent pace, driven entirely by the intense emotional warfare between two people bound by a fractured history. It is a deeply angsty, claustrophobic experience, trapping the reader inside the heroine's disorienting fog of memory loss and her subsequent, fiery awakening. The prose is unashamedly dramatic, leaning into the heightened stakes of a marriage on the brink of collapse. It will thoroughly delight fans of classic, emotionally charged category romances who love watching a vulnerable protagonist reclaim her autonomy and force a domineering partner to truly earn his second chance.

About the book

Sara had run away from Alex Stevenson's demands of unquestioning love, but her amnesia made her forget her year away from him.

Until she saw the woman who had caused the break up of their marriage. Then shatteringly, everything fell back into place and she saw the caring and protestations of love were all part of the plan to make her stop their divorce. Her parents were in on that too constantly trying to bring them together.

All of them treated her like a child - they didn't seem to realise that the pain and hurt of the past year had made her grow up into a confident woman, sure of what she wanted. But was she so sure of not wanting Alex?
