The Bacta War
416 pages
A high-stakes, underdog space opera fueled by cockpit banter, tactical brilliance, and the thrill of a desperate guerrilla insurgency.
What it feels like
Reading this feels like strapping into the cockpit of a starfighter, surrounded by the crackle of comms and the hum of a hyperdrive. It is a deeply satisfying underdog story that trades bureaucratic red tape for the thrilling, desperate freedom of a guerrilla insurgency. The narrative moves at a propulsive clip, driven by sharp tactical gambits, cinematic dogfights, and the unbreakable camaraderie of a tight-knit found family. You feel the claustrophobic tension of being outgunned and the soaring triumph of outsmarting a superior foe. The prose is precise and action-heavy, perfectly capturing the split-second decisions of aerial combat. It will thoroughly delight fans of military sci-fi who love a defiant, fist-pumping tale where loyalty and ingenuity ultimately win the day.

About the book
While the Alliance fleet mounts a major campaign against a deadly warlord, Ysanne Isard has seized control of Thyferra, intending to use its precious supply of bacta to destabilize and destroy the New Republic. It falls to Rogue Squadron - undermanned, deprived of Alliance support and even weapons - to oppose Isard's dangerous designs, defeat her powerful complement of Star Destroyers, and free Thyferra from her iron rule. But when Isard discovers the Squadron's secret base, its ragtag group of pilots must scramble for survival in a winner-take-all battle against Isard's overwhelming and seemingly superior force.
