The Poison Jungle

409 pages

A fierce, fast-paced plunge into a hostile wilderness where righteous anger meets the terrifying weight of ancient secrets.

What it feels like

Reading this installment feels like navigating a dense, treacherous canopy where every shadow hides a new threat. The narrative is driven by a prickly, fiercely angry protagonist whose sharp edges and sarcastic internal monologue mask a deep, protective loyalty. The atmosphere is thick with creeping dread and claustrophobic tension, perfectly mirroring the hostile, carnivorous environment of the jungle itself. Yet, beneath the high-stakes survival and unearthing of dark, world-altering secrets, there is a surprisingly tender emotional core centered on first love and the healing power of found family. It is a propulsive, emotionally resonant adventure that will thrill readers who love morally complex heroes, snappy dialogue, and immersive, high-stakes fantasy worlds where the flora is just as dangerous as the dragons.

About the book

It's no secret that Sundew wants to destroy the HiveWings. It's her life's mission to exact revenge on the tribe that tried to wipe out the LeafWings and ripped every tree from the surface of Pantala.

Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives.

There are dark secrets in the jungle, though-some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she's only just beginning to discover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the oldest secret in the jungle-even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.
