What it feels like

Reading this vintage 1970s romance feels like stepping into a classic, tension-filled dynamic where frustration and attraction are two sides of the same coin. The narrative moves at a brisk pace, driven by the exasperated energy of a heroine who cannot seem to keep her cool around a strict, demanding authority figure. The mood is distinctly flustered and dramatic, capturing the specific anxiety of making mistakes in front of the exact person you want to avoid. About the book

Simoni knew she would just never get on with Kent Travers. True, he was a pilot and so in a position of authority over her - but did he have to be quite so tyrannical, so unreasonable? And as luck would have it, efficient as Simoni was for most of the time, every time she came near Captain Travers she managed to make some tremendous and particularly stupid mistake. Thank goodness they would both soon be leaving the airline and she need never have anything to do with him again. But somehow their paths kept crossing and crossing.
