A classic, cozy-yet-fraught vintage romance where a snowy isolation forces two reluctant strangers to confront their simmering, undeniable chemistry.

What it feels like

Reading this classic category romance feels like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket while a storm rages outside. The narrative thrives on the delicious tension of forced proximity, trapping its characters in a rustic, snowbound Welsh farmhouse where every glance and accidental touch is magnified. The prose is emotionally heightened and deeply focused on internal romantic turmoil, capturing the breathless shift from initial annoyance to undeniable, simmering attraction. It carries the distinct, slightly melodramatic flavor of vintage romance, complete with a brooding, confident hero and a flustered but resilient heroine. This is pure, unadulterated escapism, perfect for readers who love the cozy, claustrophobic thrill of the snowed-in trope and crave a quick, intensely romantic read.

About the book

It was too late to correct their mistake

Sorrel didn't particularly want to meet her long-lost cousin Val from Australia. However, since the girl had come all this way just to make contact, it seemed a little churlish not to welcome her.

As there was no room at home, it was agreed that Sorrel and Val should share the Welsh farmhouse that was being renovated for Sorrel's brother and his wife. Conditions were a bit primitive, but that didn't matter.

At least, not until Sorrel found herself snowed in with this long-lost cousin who turned out to be a handsome, six-foot male!
