A sharp, passionate defense of reason that invites readers to marvel at the unvarnished truth of the natural world.
What it feels like
Reading this collection feels like sitting in on a masterclass with a fiercely intelligent, uncompromising professor who is deeply in love with the natural world. The pace is brisk, driven by the sharp, polemical energy of the essays, which range from dismantling pseudoscience to celebrating the sheer poetry of evolution. The mood is overwhelmingly rational yet surprisingly passionate, steeped in a profound reverence for scientific truth. The prose is crisp and lucid, cutting through dogma with surgical precision while occasionally softening into genuine wonder. It is an intellectually invigorating experience, perfect for readers who crave rigorous debate, clear-eyed logic, and a worldview that finds its deepest meaning in the unvarnished realities of biology and physics.

About the book
(bron)
